The Roll of Years
There are several ways of reckoning the passage of time, but the most commonly accepted or used is A.E. (After Erlik), denoting the massive Dvergar slave revolt and ensuing war between Commorium and their former thralls.
- 352 days long
- 8 months per year
- 6 weeks per month
- 7 days per week
- Two intercalary holy days that coincide with the full phase of Selene are added between months.
Time in Theia is marked with a lunar calendar that coincides with the the yearly solar zenith and nadir. Additionally, while not every culture gives names to each day or week, all of them have names for the 8 lunar months.
The dark moon Phobos completes an erratic path across the night sky at uneven intervals, rising in the east and setting in the west. As a general rule, Phobos is present in the night sky for several days at a time and disappears for just as many. However, it is not unheard of for it to fix in a stationary position for weeks at a time and it even rarely blots out both the sun disc and Selene. To date, Astronomers have been unable to discern any pattern to its comings and goings.
